Taking to Instagram, Patel expressed her deep dismay regarding the incident and implored internet users to verify the authenticity of content before disseminating it.

I had no participation in the creation of this Deepfake video, and I am deeply disturbed and distressed by the unfolding situation. I am concerned about the future of women and girls who now have to harbor even greater apprehension about their online presence. Please take a moment to step back and fact-check the content you encounter on the internet. Not everything on the internet is genuine," she conveyed via her Instagram Stories.
